Ancillary revenue

The Ancillary revenue settings allow you to account for additional revenue streams in your price optimization.

By configuring an estimated average of ancillary revenue per guest, the system can shift its optimization focus from room revenue alone to maximizing total revenue based on your inputs.
You find the Ancillary revenue settings page in the settings menu in the system.

Default

In the Default section of the Ancillary revenue page, you can estimate an average amount each guest spend on ancillary services:

  • Configure separate values for adults and children.
  • Set different amounts for each day of the week.
  • Set a single amount for the total stay (applies to the entire stay regardless of its length).

Configuring the estimations is optional; for example, you can choose to set only the adult fields if that better suits your property's setup.

Important: The values you enter will directly affect price optimization. Typically, higher ancillary revenue values result in lower room prices. This due to attract guests who spend more on additional services.

Note that it may take up to 24 hours for all prices to adjust after the changes, depending on factors like if the property is on real-time, when the last booking were made, and optimization rounds.

Please note that the ancillary revenue will not be included in the KPI:s on the overview dashboard.

Seasonal

In the Seasonal section, you can configure specific ancillary revenue amounts for certain times of the year:

  • Define custom periods or match the dates to your price hierarchies’ periods.
  • Time periods roll over annually.
  • Seasonal period are not allowed to overlap each other.
  • A seasonal overrides the default and takes precedence.

Please note that if you don’t assign a value to a specific day of the week when creating a season, the default ancillary revenue value will not apply to that day of the week. Without a set value, it will remain blank for that day until the season ends.

Note: Specific days of the week configured in price hierarchies do not apply to ancillary revenue. Only the same start and end dates of the selected period will be used.

By accurately configuring these settings, you ensure your property is maximizing total revenue while aligning with guest spending behaviours throughout the year.
