In this article, we explain how group bookings affect the forecast and room count in the Atomize system.
A deducting group booking affects the room count available to sell for B2C pricing and if that causes a displacement it could lead to an increase in price recommendation for your targeted rates. Atomize takes into consideration the group cancellation patterns when producing forecasts in which the displacement analysis is built.
Here is an explanation about what is deductible status by PMS:
Opera: Varies from hotel to hotel and can be found under the reservations and status configurations sections
Protel: Definite
Mews: Confrrmed and Optional
Apaleo: Active
Clock: Blocks are considered deductible
Hotsoft: No deductible group statuses reflected on Atomize
Hoteltime: Any group allocation is considered deductible
RMSCloud: Definite
Please, note that a group, in any status, with no individual reservations attached will not show on the KPIs until the individual reservations are created, which is typically related with when the rooming list is introduced.
