In Atomize it is possible to apply price rules to near-arrival stay dates to ensure that no last minute price changes occur.
On the price rules page, you can apply price rules for dates in near-time. This is a global setting, meaning the rule will be applied at the selected time on all room types constantly, whether the property is on Autopilot or not.
Price rules available:
- Price freeze: Locks the current price at a certain time before the arrival date approaches, ensuring the price does not change. No new price recommendations or changes will occur.
- Price increase only: Prevent the price from decreasing at a certain time before the arrival date. This allows the price to go up but not down.
- Price decrease only: Prevent the price from increasing at a certain time before the arrival date. This allows the price to go down but not up.
Accessing the Price rules page
To access the price setting page in Atomize, navigate to the dashboard. Click on the settings menu (represented by a cogwheel) in the top right corner, and select the Price rules page.
The page will be displayed and you can view the different price rules. By default no price rule is selected.
Set a price rule
In the first section, you select the price rule you want your property to have.
In the second section, you choose when your price rule should start to apply. You can select whether the rule should be applied only hours or up to 30 days before the arrival date.
When satisfied click the green save button and your rule has been applied.
See the active rule on a stay date
You can easily see the rules being applied on stay dates in the system.
Expand a stay date on the Calendar or the All stay date page. Above all the room types you can see the active rule.
You can also open a room type and in the Price boundaries section, you can see the price rule being applied.
Changing price hierarchies
If you apply a hierarchy override or change a hierarchy (default or seasonal) and the minimum or maximum limits affect the current price, the selected price rule will adapt after the new price limits you have configured.
For example: You have a price rule that freezes the price and the current price of the Standard room is at 100 EUR when the price rule becomes active. Then you set a hierarchy override and the minimum price for the Standard room type is 110 EUR. Then, the price will be adjusted to 110 EUR as the current price for the Standard room until the arrival date.
Note! If you have a fixed override in place (or set a new one) when the price rule is active it will override the price rule and the current price is determined by the fixed override.
