This article explains how rate updates function between Atomize (the RMS) and your PMS (Property Management System), with a specific focus on target rates, compset rates, and non-target rates.
🎯 Target rate updates (Atomize ↔ PMS)
- From Atomize to PMS:
When you accept or override a price in Atomize, the new rate is pushed and reflected in your PMS target rate in a few seconds or minutes. - From PMS to Atomize:
If the target rate is changed directly in the PMS:
- Without Real-time optimization enabled: The new rate will be reflected in Atomize during the next optimization round.
- With Real-time optimization enabled: The change will be synced and reflected in Atomize within a few seconds or minutes.
Important:
This synchronization only applies to the target rate that Atomize manages. The distribution of other rates in your PMS or Channel Manager falls outside Atomize’s scope.
📊 Compset rate updates
- Frequency of updates:
Compset rates displayed in the Atomize dashboard are updated once daily. - Implication:
If compset prices change or if you change your own rate on Booking.com, you may not see the updated compset price in Atomize until the next daily update, typically up to 24 hours later.
📌 Other Rates in the PMS (Non-Target Rates)
- Atomize only manages and syncs the target rate.
- Any other rates in the PMS (e.g. packages, derived rates, or other custom rates) fall outside Atomize’s scope. (however, rates derived from the target rate will of course be impacted by the rate changes in Atomize).
- Channel distribution timing is also outside Atomize’s responsibility. This should be addressed with your PMS and/or Channel Manager provider.
🔍 What Is the Target Rate?
The target rate is the specific rate that Atomize optimizes and synchronises with the PMS.
You can view and identify this rate in the Room type settings page within Atomize.
