Pricing controls and bulk overrides (January 2023)

The support for bulk overrides is an addition to Atomize pricing controls and allows users to update prices for several dates at the same time.

Finally, we are releasing the bulk override! Now you are able to select several stay dates and make overrides all at once.

In connection with the release, we have chosen to be more clear in our communication and terminology to make it easier for you as a user to understand how the system is structured.

That's why we introduce Atomize pricing controls, meaning these are features that affect the prices in the system, allowing you to configure the system to work with your pricing strategies.
The pricing controls include price hierarchies and overrides.

Watch the video tutorial below to see how the bulk overrides can be used in Atomize.

During autumn 2022 we introduced the min/max boundaries as a new type of override. Instead of setting a fixed price, you can now also set floor and ceiling boundaries that the prices may move within, which means making an override of the current price hierarchy. To make the distinction between the different types of overrides clearer, we have decided to split our price adjustments/override feature in two:

  • Price override (fixed)
  • Hierarchy override (min/max boundaries)

Another exciting news is that we now allow (fixed) price overrides to break the price hierarchy. We know some of you have requested this and we are happy to share that it is now in place. No matter what price hierarchy you have configured you can always override a price without that it is having an impact on other room types' prices. However, the system will never recommend prices outside your configured boundaries in the price hierarchy.
