How is 24h availability change calculated?
Below follows a description of how the 24h availability change is calculated in Atomize
- Each price recommendation event has a property called availability
- Availability = capacity - OOO- booked rooms - allocated rooms (see more about availability and OOO on https://help.atomize.com/how-are-kpis-calculated)
- So the 24h availability change is calculated as the difference between the availability of the oldest price recommendation from yesterday and the availability of the latest price recommendation
- Note that the oldest price recommendation in the last 24 hours will be at least 24h old. If the hotel is not using RTO (real-time optimization) the recommendations are updated around 21:00, 04:00 and 11:00 UTC. Hence the oldest price recommendation in the last 24h could for example be from 21:00 UTC if looking at the dashboard between 11:00 and 21:00 UTC.
- RTO properties have a recommendation produced roughly every minute if the status has changed and a new recommendation is required. Therefore an availability change can be 24h or more depending on the internal and external market activity.
